Cape Town - Bundesliga outfit Hertha Berlin have expressed their desire to extend Liverpool midfielder Allan's loan for another season.
The Brazilian is yet to make his debut for the Reds since signing for them in 2015. He has spent the last few seasons out on loan at SJK in Finland and Sint-Truiden in Belgium, before being loaned to Hertha.
The German side are eager to extend the 20-year-old's stay, but Liverpool have revealed that they will only allow such a deal if Hertha qualify for the Europa League.
Hertha are fifth in the Bundesliga standings, which means a draw against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday would secure their spot in Europe, should Freiburg fail to beat champions Bayern Munich.
"We've lodged our wish to loan Allan for another year with Liverpool," Hertha Berlin sporting executive Michael Preetz told kicker.
"Principally, the English are up for it, but they would like us to be a guaranteed starter in the group stages of Europa League."
