Cape Town - Manchester
United transfer target Antoine Griezmann is a vital member of Atletico
Madrid's squad, but he is not above the club and can be replaced,
according to team-mate Saul.
The 26-year-old France international played a crucial part in Atletico's 2016/17 domestic and European campaigns, scoring a total of 26 goals to help the club qualify for next season's Champions League and reach the semi-finals of this season's competition.
However, Atletico's inability to convert promising performances into silverware is reportedly prompting the forward to consider a move away from Madrid.
The transfer, which is widely expected to be to newly crowned Europa League champions Manchester United, was discussed by Griezmann's team-mate Saul in an interview with AS Diario.
"In the end, Antoine Griezmann can manage his future as he wishes," the Spain U21 international said.
"He is with us. We are waiting for him in pre-season and finally his future he will decide.
"If Antoine Griezmann leaves we have [Fernando] Torres, [Kevin] Gameiro, [Angel] Correa and [Yannick] Carrasco.
"He is a very important player for us, we know the quality he has, but most importantly no one player is above the club."
Griezmann, who is expected to cost Jose Mourinho's Red Devils upwards of €80m, has been Diego Simeone's star performer since his 2014 move from Real Sociedad, scoring a total of 60 league goals in his 111 La Liga appearances for the club.
