Dimitar Berbatov interviews ... himself!

Cape Town - Former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov has conducted a bizarre interview with himself following his red card for PAOK against AEK Athens in the Greek Superleague on Sunday.

Berbatov posted the interview to his Facebook page and opened with the words: "Interview with Dimitar Berbatov, conducted by journalist Dimitar Berbatov."

The 34-year-old then began asking himself questions about how he picked up his red card.

Berbatov was apologetic throughout the post.

"The problem is that, in this case I took it out on the colleague from the other team," he wrote.

"And I am not one of these players looking for a conflict, this is a well known fact, but in this case the opposite happened, for which I am sorry."

Berbatov will not be banned for three games ... perhaps he can spend the time working on his journalistic career.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
