Cape Town - AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi admits he is willing to sign Mario Balotelli on a permanent deal, if the on-loan Liverpool striker improves.
Berlusconi claims he is ready to make a "financial sacrifice" to keep the Italy international at the San Siro.
With only two starts since rejoining the Rossoneri in August, Balotelli was expected to be sent back to Anfield at the end of his loan spell, but Berlusconi has faith in the 25-year-old's ability.
"Will we sign him outright? It depends on him," the Italian media tycoon told Italia 7 Gold.
"He has extraordinary technical and physical qualities, especially if he can really show maturity in terms of his behaviour in his life and his position on the pitch - he does drift out to the wings too much.
"If he were to do these things we would be very happy to make a financial sacrifice and keep him here with us."
Since making his debut for Internazionale in 2007, Balotelli has featured 113 times in Serie A and scored 47 goals for the two Milan giants.
