'Beau Jeu' Euro 2016 ball unveiled

Paris  - Former France star Zinedine Zidane on Thursday unveiled the ball for Euro 2016, named Beau Jeu (beautiful game) and painted in the French national colours blue while and red as a tribute to the tournament hosts.

The ruling body UEFA said that all 24 participating teams will receive the ball, which also has some silver touches to highlight the trophy, by the end of November to get used to it ahead of the June 10-July 10 tournament.

Beau Jeu was developed by long-time sponsors Adidas over 18 months and includes improvement on grip and in-flight visibility compared to the World Cup 2014 ball Brazuca.

"I tested Beau Jeu in training with long shots, passes and running at pace. It performed brilliantly. I can't wait for the tournament to start," said Wales star Gareth Bale, one of the top players who have already tested the ball.
