Ranocchia extends Inter stay

Milan - Inter Milan defender Andrea Ranocchia has signed a four-year extension to his contract, according to the Serie A club.

"F.C. Internazionale would like to announce that the defender has sealed a four-year contract extension which will keep him at the club until 2019," said a statement.

Italy international Ranocchia, 27, joined Inter in January 2011 and has amassed 156 appearances (119 in Serie A, 24 in European competitions and 13 in domestic cups) and scored nine goals in the Nerazzurri colours.
