Pele's son gets prison sentence

Cape Town - According to KickOff.com website, Pele's son, Edinho, has been given a 33-year prison sentence after being accused of laundering money earned from drug trafficking.

The 43-year-old, whose real name is Edson Cholbi Edinho, is currently working as a goalkeeper coach at his father's former club Santos, where he too played as a keeper a couple of years ago.

Edinho is expected to appeal the decision dispensed by a judge on Friday in the city of Praia Grande. Four other co-accused received similar sentences.

Brazilian legend, Pele, is regarded by many as the greatest football player of all time. He helped Brazil to three World Cup victories with some of the most spectacular moves ever seen.
