Zagreb - Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric was named Monday by coach Niko Kovac in Croatia's 25-man squad for a 2016 European championship qualifier against Norway in Zagreb on March 28.
The former Croatia captain expressed his delight at the participation of Modric and Wolsfburg forward Ivan Perisic, who were both recently injured.
"I hope that they will stay in good health so we can face Norway with the strongest team," said Kovac.
Croatia are top of Group H equal on 10 points with Italy after four matches.
Norway are third with nine points, in a group that also includes Azerbaijan, Bulgaria and Malta.
"In qualifiers played so far Norway showed they deserve a maximum respect. They are a high quality, tough team, against whom one has to play at the top level," Kovac said.
"We know what the stakes are for both squads in the match and we're looking forward to that challenge."
