Cape Town - Reports suggest that Manchester City are close to signing Porto midfielder Fernando. City came close to signing the player in January and are now hoping that a £15 million offer will seal the deal.

Swansea have confirmed that Leon Britton has signed a new one-year extension to his contract at the Liberty Stadium, and the club are looking at West Ham midfielder Ravel Morrison as a possible addition to the squad.
Swansea have also told Arsenal, Newcastle United and West Ham to buzz off regarding Wilfried Bony, unless they can find £19m to pay the Ivorian’s buy-out clause.

Arsenal are interested in Colombian goalkeeper David Ospina to provide competition for Wojciech Szczesny.

Southampton are ready to make a deal with Manchester United for Javier Hernandez in return for Luke Shaw.

Hannover have confirmed their interest in signing former Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Sissoko.

Chelsea and England midfielder Frank Lampard has confirmed he will probably retire from international football at the end of the World Cup, and is looking at a move to Major League Soccer in the States.

Atlético Madrid are feeling generous enough to take Roberto Soldado off Tottenham’s hands. Bayern Munich have expressed an interest in Manchester City's 28-year-old defender Aleksandar Kolarov, but face competition from Roma and Juventus.
