Klose to play on at Lazio

Rome - Veteran German striker Miroslav Klose will play for one more season at Serie A side Lazio, the striker said on Facebook.

"It is a decision I took with my heart," said the footballer, who turns 37 on Tuesday. "My family and I feel very well in Rome and at Lazio."

Klose arrived at Lazio in 2011 as a free agent from Bayern Munich.

He scored 13 goals in the previous season - his second best performance in Serie A, for a total of 47 from 115 games.

Klose retired from the German national team after being part of the squad which won the World Cup in 2014.
