Ivory Coast name SWC base

Abidjan - Ivory Coast coach Sabri Lamouchi said on Tuesday that The Elephants will be based in Sao Paulo during the June-July Soccer World Cup in Brazil.

The Africans will be based at the Oscar Inn Eco Resort.

Lamouchi also announced that they will start their World Cup build-up at a European training camp, probably in Portugal, and will play a pair of friendlies before travelling to Brazil.

"We need to go to Brazil with a lot of humility and to come back with our heads held high," said Lamouchi.

Ivory Coast are in Group C alongside Japan, Colombia and Greece.
