Berlin - Borussia Moenchengladach coach Lucien Favre and Wolfsburg attacking midfielder Kevin de Bruyne have been named the best in the Bundesliga according to an end of season poll.
Favre, who led Gladbach to third place and direct qualification to the Champions League, was named as the coach of the season by 30.6 per cent of players in a survey carried out by the traditional German football magazine Kicker.
The poll which surveyed 183 professionals also returned De Bruyne, of league runners-up Wolfsburg, as the best outfield player of the season with 52.5 per cent of the vote.
Bayern Munich's winger Arjen Robben was second in the player vote with 23.5 per cent while Augsburg coach Markus Weinzierl followed Favre on 24.6 per cent.
