Boateng training with AC Milan

Milan - AC Milan have announced that Ghanaian international Kevin Prince Boateng has returned to the club to train until the end of the year.

Boateng spent three seasons with Milan from 2010 before signing for Schalke 04 in 2013, only to be suspended indefinitely by the Bundesliga club in May after the Gelsenkirchen club's league defeat to Cologne.

Boateng was set to sign for Sporting Lisbon during the summer, but the deal fell through after bosses of the Portuguese side claimed the German-born player failed a medical because of a problem with his knee.

Boateng is still searching for a club and has been allowed to train with Sinisa Mihajlovic's squad until the end of the year.

"Kevin Prince Boateng will be training with the first team at Milanello until 31st December," said a brief club statement.

Milan, who host Napoli on Sunday, sit 11th in Serie A after six league games, six points adrift of leaders Fiorentina.
