Monaco - Dimitar Berbatov, Monaco's Bulgarian international striker, will be out of action for at least three weeks with a thigh injury, the club announced on Thursday.

Berbatov pulled up 11 minutes before half-time in Wednesday's goalless Champions League draw with Benfica and immediately signalled to the bench he was unable to continue.

"Dimitar Berbatov has a muscle injury to his left thigh," a club statement announced. "He is expected to be out for three weeks."
