Parker, who netted as many times last season, spearheaded a 6-0 demolition of AmaZulu on Saturday - boosting his prospects of a national return in the friendly with Brazil in Sao Paulo on September 7.
"It's lovely to see players scoring like that," Igesund said in the Cape Times.
"Besides scoring, he actually played very well. I'm very happy with his performance. Bernard is a confidence player and that will give him confidence."
With Bafana Bafana's key striker Katlego Mphela still recovering from knee surgery, Igesund faces an interesting selection dilemma up front, with the likes of Siyabonga Nomvethe and Edward Manqele also scoring in their sides' respective MTN8 Cup quarter-finals.
"In the last two weeks, the league and cup have all kicked off and I am very happy," said Igesund.
"Everyone is working hard and scoring. We've watched a lot of games and we are looking for players to fill certain roles."
