Fabregas wants Barca stay

Kuala Lumpur - Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas says he wants to stay at the Catalan club, dealing a major blow to Manchester United's hopes of signing the former Arsenal star.

United has had its attempts to sign Fabregas rejected by Barcelona though the Premier League champion was reportedly considering trying again.

However, Fabregas said Thursday: "It is a huge, huge dream, that I have had since I was a kid, to succeed at Barcelona and nothing has changed or altered at any moment ... I'm very, very happy at Barcelona."

The Spain international says he hasn't talked to any club since leaving Arsenal in 2011 to rejoin his former youth team.
