Cape Town - Wolfsburg sporting director Klaus Allofs has confirmed talks with AZ striker Vincent Janssen amid reported interest from Tottenham Hotspur
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is believed to have held discussions with the Netherlands international after personally scouting him during the 1-1 draw with Republic of Ireland last month.
Janssen has risen to prominence after a prolific season for the North Holland club, where he finished as top scorer in the Eredivisie with 27 goals.
Die Wolfe are seeking a replacement for Nicklas Bendtner, who was released from his contract towards the end of last term, and Allofs revealed that the 22-year-old Dutchman is an option for the Bundesliga side.
"We've got a few options. We've talked to Janssen," Allofs told Kicker. "We are not the only club in the market for him."
However, he insisted a potential deal for Janssen does not mean Max Kruse will be leaving the Volkswagen Arena, saying the forward is not for sale "at any price."
