Cape Town - West Ham United have their fingers crossed, as a possible return of striker Diafra Sakho is on the cards ahead of their clash with title contenders Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday.
The Hammers have enjoyed a successful season thus far, that sees them occupy sixth position in the Premier League standings, collecting 43 points after 27 games.
They will be hoping to keep their momentum going until the end of the campaign in a bid to secure a covetred Champions League berth.
Looking ahead to Wednesday's crunch clash with the title-chasing Spurs, West Ham boss Seven Bilic is hopeful that Sakho will be fit for selection, as he confirmed the news at a press conference on Tuesday.
"Diafra Sakho has been training with us for a few days now; we will see today how he is, if he is ready. He might be in the squad tomorrow (Wednesday)," Bilic told reporters.
Sakho scored five Premier League goals this season, before he was forced to undergo surgery for a thigh injury he sustained during a match against West Brom, in December 2015.
