West Brom, Spurs charged by FA

London - West Bromwich Albion and Tottenham have been charged by the English Football Association after a melee involving both teams during their Premier League match on Saturday.

The incident took place after West Brom winger James McClean was booked for a foul on Spurs midfielder Mousa Dembele in the 84th minute of the game at The Hawthorns, which finished 1-1. Referee Jonathan Moss was surrounded by players from both sides.

The FA says Wednesday the teams have been charged "for failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion." They have until Friday to respond.
