Watford closing in on Ivorian Dja Djedje - report

Cape Town - Watford are on the verge of signing defender Brice Dja Djedje from Marseille, according to widespread reports.

Sky Sports claims the Premier League club have agreed "a fee of around £2m" with their Ligue 1 counterparts and "Djedje will discuss personal terms and take a medical with Watford, who hope to conclude the deal this week".

The 25-year-old, who has seven Ivory Coast caps to his name, joined Marseille from Evian in 2013 and made more than 80 appearances for L'OM in three seasons.

Watford have already signed Nigerian Isaac Success for a club record fee of £12.5m and central defender Christian Kabasele from Basel, while Colombia full-back Juan Camilo Zuniga has joined on a season-long loan.
