Cape Town - Manchester United defender Phil Jones has played down fears that he could be set for another spell on the sidelines.
Jones was forced off during the second half of United's stalemate against Hull City after the England international pulled up while sprinting for the ball.
The 24-year-old immediately signalled to the bench and was replaced by Chris Smalling.
However, after securing a starting spot in Jose Mourinho's plans since returning to fitness in November, Jones does not expect to be on the treatment table for long.
"My foot's bruised but I'll be fine," Jones told MUTV after the match.
"It's nothing sinister, nothing serious, so hopefully in a few days I'll be fine."
Jones has endured a wretched run with injuries during his career, which has derailed his progress at Old Trafford.
He was absent for a total of 32 games last season due to a combination of foot, ankle and calf issues.
Jones will hope to be fit for Sunday's trip to Premier League champions Leicester City.
