Cape Town - Everton boss Ronald Koeman looks set to further strengthen his squad with the signing of Ishak Belfodil from Standard Liege.
The Algeria international, who will not be representing his country at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, is expected on Merseyside for a medical imminently after a £10.4 million fee was agreed with the Belgian Pro League club.
The Toffees have stepped up their recruitment drive this week, with Morgan Schneiderlin also on the verge of making a switch from Manchester United in a £22m deal.
Belfodil only arrived in Belgium during the off-season after spending a year in the United Arab Emirates with Baniyas, but the striker appears to be on the move again just six months later.
The 25-year-old started his senior career in France with Lyon, before turning out for Bologna, Parma, Inter Milan and Livorno in Italy and most recently plying his trade in the Middle East.
