Tipsters: ‘Pool to sting Hornets

Cape Town - Liverpool will take full advantage of being the only “top four” club in action on a skinny English Premiership roster (there are FA Cup distractions) this weekend.

So say the entire Sport24 forecasting panel, convinced the Reds will sink Watford at Anfield - even if it nothing like the 6-1 thrashing they dished out to the Londoners last season at that venue.

Each round of the 2017/18 Premiership campaign, a group of our staff has a crack at predicting the results – do the exercise yourself, if you like, and see how you compare afterwards.

Compiled by Rob Houwing (Newcastle-partial), the others are Garrin Lambley (Everton), Lloyd Burnard, Tashreeq Vardien, Baden Gillion and Lynn Butler (all Man Utd) plus Craig Taylor (Liverpool).

Three points are awarded for an entirely correct scoreline, and one for right result.
