Tipsters: More angst for Chelsea!

Cape Town - A second reverse on the trot for defending champions Chelsea... that is the expectation of most of the Sport24 English Premiership forecasters.

Following their shock home reverse to Burnley on the opening weekend, clearly the view is that the Blues’ tough derby against Tottenham - at Spurs’ temporary home of Wembley on Sunday - brings a real threat of Chelsea remaining pointless after two rounds.

After all, when the equivalent fixture last season was staged at the old White Hart Lane, Spurs emerged victorious 2-0, via a twin strike from Dele Alli.

Each round of the 2017/18 campaign, a group of our staff has a crack at predicting the results - do the exercise yourself, if you like, and see how you compare afterwards.

Compiled by Rob Houwing (Newcastle-partial), the others are Garrin Lambley (Everton), Lloyd Burnard, Tashreeq Vardien, Baden Gillion and Lynn Butler (all Man Utd) plus Craig Taylor (Liverpool).

Three points are awarded for an entirely correct scoreline, and one for right result.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
