Tipsters: Man U won’t close gap in derby!

Cape Town - Eight points currently separate leaders Manchester City from arch-rivals United... and that may even swell after Sunday’s mouth-watering English Premiership derby at Old Trafford.

There are two takers among the Sport24 panel for a successful raid by the almost unfailing visitors, just one for a Red Devils triumph and the other four take the conservative route of a 1-1 draw.

City won the corresponding game 2-1 last season.

Each round of the 2017/18 Premiership season, our experts have a crack at predicting the results.

Compiled by Rob Houwing (Newcastle-partial), the others are Garrin Lambley (Everton), Lloyd Burnard, Tashreeq Vardien, Baden Gillion and Lynn Butler (all Man Utd) plus Craig Taylor (Liverpool).

Three points are awarded for an entirely correct scoreline, and one for right result. Try it yourself and see how you shape up...

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...
