Tipsters: Liverpool to hold Chelsea

Cape Town - They're hardly in vintage form, but the majority pick among the Sport24 panel is for Liverpool to hold Premiership leaders Chelsea to a draw in Tuesday's Anfield cracker.

Three of the forecasters have it ending 1-1 - a repeat of last season's score-line - but you also get two predictions each for a win either way.

Certainly 'Pool dramatically recapturing their touch after a rocky little spell in all competitions to bag the three points would give the various Blues’ chasers fresh hope of hauling them in, but perhaps don't count on it.

Each round of the 2016/17 Premiership campaign, a group of our staff has a crack at predicting the results - do the exercise yourself, if you like, and see how you compare afterwards.

Compiled by Rob Houwing (Newcastle-partial; he swears the Championship is more competitive), the others are Garrin Lambley (Everton), Lloyd Burnard, Tashreeq Vardien, Maano Nekhavhambe and Lynn Butler (all Man Utd) plus Craig Taylor (Liverpool).

Three points are awarded for an entirely correct scoreline, and one for right result.
