Cape Town - Liverpool outcast Mario Balotelli could be on his way to Switzerland with FC Sion, after the club's chairman revealed talks of a loan deal.
The Italian striker still technically plays for the Reds, but one goal in 16 appearances in his first season at Anfield saw him shipped back to Milan on loan, where he again registered just a single goal in his 16 Serie A appearances last season.
The 26-year-old has been linked with moves around Serie A and was even been touted to reunite with Jose Mourinho at Manchester United, but talks with the Swiss side are reportedly underway.
"I can confirm we're discussing about a possible loan of Balotelli," Sion owner and president Christian Constantin told Ticinonews.ch. "We're progressing but I can't say yet if the transfer will be successful or not."
