Swansea sweating over Ayew's fitness

Cape Town - Forward Andre Ayew is an injury doubt for Swansea City's English Premier League clash against Stoke City on Saturday.

The Ghana striker injured his ankle during the victory over Norwich City at the start of March and he was forced to miss the two games before the international break.

He also sat out the Black Stars Africa Cup of Nations double-header qualifiers against Mozambique.

Although he has received treatment on his injured ankle in France the past few weeks, he is still not 100% and is in a race to be fit for the trip to the Britannia Stadium.

Ayew, who joined the Welsh outfit from Marseille last June, has been a regular for Swansea as he has featured in all but one of their top-flight games before picking up the ankle problem.
