Swansea boss out of hospital

London - Swansea head coach Francesco Guidolin has been released from hospital and is set to resume work this week.

The 60-year-old Italian fell ill with a chest infection over a week ago and has missed the last two matches after being referred to a respiratory specialist at a London hospital last Wednesday.

However, having recovered from his illness, Guidolin can start preparing for this weekend's trip to Bournemouth.

"Francesco Guidolin has been released from hospital after making a good recovery and will resume duties this week," said a statement on the club's Twitter account.

First-team coach Alan Curtis, who took caretaker charge when Garry Monk was sacked in December, has filled in during Guidolin's absence and overseen wins over Arsenal and Norwich.
