Spurs, Chelsea in goalless stalemate

London - Tottenham extended its unbeaten Premier League run to 13 matches by drawing 0-0 against a Chelsea side showing signs of recovery but still languishing in the lower half of the standings.

Feeling the effects of a long mid-week trip to Azerbaijan for the Europa League, Tottenham provided little goal threat but was able to contain Chelsea to celebrate its best streak in the league since the 1984-85 season.

While Chelsea failed to get its first back-to-back league wins in a disappointing title defense, a solid display at the back secured a third consecutive clean sheet for Jose Mourinho's team.

Chelsea is five points above the relegation zone and 10 behind fifth-place Tottenham.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
