London - West Ham are on the verge of completing a £10million deal for Scotland international Robert Snodgrass, Hull boss Marco Silva has confirmed.

The Hammers, along with Burnley and Middlesbrough, have all submitted bids to land Snodgrass after he has been the stand-out figure for struggling Hull this season.

But the Tigers were wary of letting the 29-year-old join one of their relegation rivals and he is expected to undergo a medical with West Ham on Friday.

“I know the (West Ham) deal is close. It's possible in the next few hours,” said Silva.

“The player hasn't trained with the team and is not available after the club did this deal with West Ham, and we need to find solutions to strengthen our team.”

Snodgrass tops Hull’s goal-scoring charts this season after netting nine goals, plus contributing three assists.

But he missed last weekend’s defeat at Chelsea through injury and was not included in the Hull squad for their EFL Cup semi-final second leg win over Manchester United.

Silva though will be looking at his improved team to continue their upward trajectory in performances and results to continue when the Tigers travel to Craven Cottage in a fourth round FA Cup fixture against Portsmouth on Sunday.

Kick off is at 14:30.
