Cape Town - Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel is expected to finalise his move to Turkish giants Fenerbahce in days to come, according to reports on Merseyside.
The Reds have reportedly reached an agreement with the Istanbul giants for a fee of around £5 million, with the personal terms needing to finalised.
Fener president Aziz Yildirim revealed to AMK Spor that the deals of Gregory van der Wiel and Skrtel are almost concluded.
"(Gregory) Van der Wiel and Slovak Skrtel transfers are almost done," Yildirim said.
Skrtel has been in France at Euro 2016 with Slovakia, with a mixed campaign being brought to an end by a 3-0 humiliation at the hands of Germany.
Last season a mix of poor form and injuries disrupted his progress as he made a mere 27 appearances in Liverpool's 63 games - the fewest since his debut year in 2008.
The 31-year-old will leave Anfield after an eight-year career, having he amassed 320 appearances - only Brazilian, Lucas Leiva has been playing longer in the first team than Skrtel.
