Cape Town - Stoke City have confirmed that veteran defender Ryan Shawcross has signed a new four-year contract with the Premier League club.
The 29-year-old's current contract at the Potters was due to run out
at the end of the season but he has committed himself to the club until
The centre-back is in his 10th season at Stoke after originally
moving to the club on loan from Manchester United before making the move
Stoke revealed via their official Twitter account: “#SCFC are
delighted to announce that skipper Ryan Shawcross has signed a new
four-year contract, committing him to the club until at least 2021.”
Shawcross has been ever-present for the Potters throughout his spell
and made 35 Premier League appearances last season. He has racked up 385
games for the club across all competitions.
