Cape Town - Manchester United legend David Beckham sent the club's newest sensation, Marcus Rashford, a special gift - a personalised signed jersey.
Rashford shared on Instagram the picture of the signed No 7 jersey with the caption: "Nice to be appreciated by one of the best."
Rashford burst onto the scene earlier this year and scored eight goals in the final three months of the previous season for the Red Devils.
His sudden rise in fame led to a surprising call-up in Roy Hodgson's England Euro 2016 squad, where Rashford hardly spent a game's length on the field.
The message on the shirt went as followed: "To Marcus, good luck and continue working hard and playing with joy and passion. Love David Beckham."
This isn't the first time Beckham has praised the 18-year-old forward on Instagram. In March, Beckham told his 25.6 million followers that Rashford's presence in the United team is 'refreshing and pleasing' to see, saying:
"When a young kid that loves the club he is at and loves the game he is playing this is what you get... The excitement in Marcus's face after scoring against our rivals is exactly what a kid his age should look like... It's refreshing and pleasing to see... Congrats to Marcus on another great day."
Beckham was with United from 1994-2003, scoring 62 goals in 265 Premier League appearances.
