Sakho says it would make him happy to play for Liverpool again but
admits his future will likely be decided by Jurgen Klopp.
The 27-year-old French international fell foul of the German manager's strict time-keeping rules and subsequently found himself out on loan at Crystal Palace in January.
He might have done just enough to earn a second chance with the Reds though, following some impressive displays for the Eagles in recent months, despite their struggles.
The south-London side are keen to sign Sakho to a permanent deal, but it is no secret as to where the former Paris Saint-Germain man see his future.
He told Telefoot: "I still have a contract for three more years. If I were to wear the Liverpool jersey again, I would be happy to do so.
"I was late for training, something that happens everywhere. I paid a fine and I do not know what else I can do.
"It is up to the boss. He makes the decisions and I can only accept that.
"And we will see what happens if my future is elsewhere."
