Cape Town - Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has refuted suggestions Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is prohibited from signing the Bavarians' players.
Earlier this week, winger Douglas Costa was asked if he would consider joining former coach Guardiola in the Premier League if the opportunity arose, to which he responded that it was a non issue because the Spanish boss had a clause written into his contract stating he was not allowed to sign Bayern's players.
However, Associated Press indicated their sources at Manchester City believe that not to be the case, which has now been confirmed by Rummenigge.
"There is no agreement," he told Sport Bild.
Despite the fact there is no agreement between Guardiola, Bayern and Manchester City, Rummenigge is not concerned about losing top players to Manchester City or any of the other clubs around Europe.
"Nobody needs to make any enquiries about them. We have closed the door," he added.
His stance seemingly puts an end to speculation linking star striker Robert Lewandowski and full-back David Alaba to Primera Division giants Real Madrid.
