Cape Town - Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr is confident that striker Kelechi Iheanacho will regain his place in the Manchester City team, after almost a month without a game.
The 20-year-old Super Eagles star has missed out on selection over the past few weeks, last earning a spot in Pep Guardiola's side on January 15 when he came on as a late substitute.
However, Rohr believes in the youngster's abilities and has backed him to fight for his place in the team, despite the arrival of Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus.
"I am sure Kelechi will come back to this team," assured Rohr, according to African Football.
"He's a fighter, he has a good fighting spirit. This player is a good athlete and he has a good mind. I have spoken with him and he will come back.
"He's a young player, so sometimes he plays, sometimes he doesn't. And for a big club like Manchester City, you can't play all the time.
"I believe he will come back to play for City again."
