Red Devils, Gunners to split spoils!

Cape Town – Five of the seven Sport24 forecasters choose caution over flamboyance in their predictions for Saturday’s big Premiership meeting between old adversaries Manchester United and Arsenal at Old Trafford.

That many of them fancy a share of the spoils ... and perhaps slightly less drama than witnessed in the equivalent meeting last season, when United won a lively affair 3-2, aided by two goals from teenager Marcus Rashford.

The other two gurus both see the Red Devils prevailing again - though bear in mind the pro-United tendencies reflected in our group.

Each round of the 2016/17 Premiership campaign, a group of our staff has a crack at predicting the results - do the exercise yourself, if you like, and see how you compare afterwards.

Compiled by Rob Houwing (Newcastle-partial; he swears the Championship is more competitive), the others are Garrin Lambley (Everton), Lloyd Burnard, Tashreeq Vardien, Maano Nekhavhambe and Lynn Butler (all Man Utd) plus Craig Taylor (Liverpool).

Three points are awarded for an entirely correct scoreline, and one for right result.
