Ranieri and Kane win March awards

Cape Town - Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri and Tottenham striker Harry Kane have won the Premier League Manager and Player of the Month awards for March.

This is Ranieri's second award of the season, having previously won the prize in November.

The Foxes are seven points clear at the top of the league standings after drawing one and winning three of their four league matches during March, keeping three clean sheets in the process, and need just four more wins to guarantee their first ever Premier League title.

Kane, meanwhile, netted five goals during the month, including braces in wins over Bournemouth and Aston Villa, as Spurs continued to keep pace with Leicester.

The pick of the bunch was his spectacular long-range curler in the North London derby against Arsenal at the start of the month, and the England striker is now the division's leading goalscorer with 22 goals.

"Hopefully I'll get a few more goals and continue to push on, continue to do well for the team and we'll continue to keep winning games," the Spurs striker said.

Spurs host Manchester United at White Hart Lane, while Leicester take on relegation threatened Sunderland, both on Sunday.
