Cape Town - Dejan Lovren has hit out Sergio Ramos after feeling like he is the only defender to be criticised for making mistakes.

The Liverpool and Croatia centre-back has not been without errors over the years, but that hasn't stopped him from making close to 200 appearances for the Reds, while being a mainstay for his national team.
With Real Madrid currently struggling, and having seen their manager sacked this week, Lovren has said that Real captain Ramos is just as culpable as him when it comes to making mistakes.
Lovren, who played both in the Champions League final and World Cup final, last season, told Copa90: "If you look, Ramos, he has many more mistakes than me but he’s at Real Madrid. With Ronaldo, when you make a mistake, it’s 5-1, 5-2 and nobody sees the mistake.
“I’m quite unlucky, when I make the mistake it’s 1-0. When I do a mistake, I don’t talk to anyone, not even my wife… you don’t know how it is."
Lovren named himself a one of the five best defenders in the world, that includes, Virgil van Dijk, Thiago Silva, Raphael Varane - and Ramos.
“I said I’m one of the best, not the best," Lovren added. "It can be five but look at this season and tell me who played in the Champions League final and then a month later in the World Cup final. I was second after Thierry Henry, I searched that information.
“I like Varane, he deserves a lot of credit, but he doesn’t get it as much. Ramos gets it, I don’t agree with that."
