Pulis delighted to sign Gibbs from Arsenal

Cape Town - West Bromwhich Albion manager Tony Pulis is pleased to have secured the services of Kieran Gibbs from Arsenal, praising the defender's vast experience.

The Gunners were reportedly looking to receive £12 million for the 27-year-old but are believed to have accepted around £7m instead.

Gibbs was signed by Arsenal in 2004 from MK Dons and went on to make 229 appearances for the Premier League side across all competitions, scoring six goals and assisting in 25.

“We’ve now got a deal which I think is right for the club and I’m really pleased to add a player of this quality and experience to our group,” Pulis said, according to the Birmingham Mail.

“Kieran’s a good age and has made over 200 appearances for Arsenal, represented his country, and has Premier League and Champions League experience.

“To add these qualities to our squad is exactly what we’re looking for.”

Gibbs added: “He’s different to what I’ve had before and I feel he can develop me in certain areas I maybe need to work on. He can help me progress.”
