Puel confident ahead of Manchester City clash

Cape Town - Southampton manager Claude Puel is confident of his team's chances of pulling off a positive result against Manchester City on Saturday.

The Saints have enjoyed a successful spell in the Premier League over the past few weeks, winning four of their last six games, and losing only once.

Puel's charges beat Crystal Palace and West Brom in their last two games, while Manchester City have only won one of their last five games, a 3-1 victory over Hull City at the weekend.

"We know the next game against Manchester City is a strong challenge, a great team, but it's better to play against Manchester City after two wins, as it gives us confidence," Puel told reporters, according to the official Manchester City website.

"We play at home and, with the support of the fans, we can do fantastic work against them."

The action gets underway at 18:00.
