Pogba en route to Manchester

Cape Town - Paul Pogba is currently flying to England to complete his multi-million pound deal with Manchester United.

The 23-year-old former Red Devil, who has been a phenomenon for France and Juve in recent seasons, has been United's main target during the current transfer window.

According to Sky Sports, the midfielder "boarded a private jet at Nice airport" as he is set to undergo a medical at United's Carington training ground.

Pogba is expected to complete a £110m move back to Old Trafford on a five-year contract in the coming days, having famously left the English giants on a free transfer in 2012 to move to Turin.

Bianconeri boss Massimiliano Allegri had summoned the France international to train with the Serie A champions on Monday, but negotiations with the Red Devils were stepped up over the weekend.

A statement on United's official website read: "Paul Pogba has been granted permission to have a medical in order to finalise his transfer from Juventus to Manchester United."

Pogba is not, however, expected to start in their Premier League opener against Bournemouth next Sunday.

Bye New York ??
