Cape Town - Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho could be facing a stadium ban following another run in with officials during The Red Devils’ disappointing 0-0 with Premier League strugglers Burnley on Saturday.
Mourinho watched the second half of the match from the stands after apparently clashing with referee Mark Clattenburg over his failure to award United a penalty following a tackle on Matteo Darmian.
The Portuguese, who is already facing a misconduct charge in relation to comments he made about referee Anthony Taylor, could face even further sanction from the FA.
His misconduct charge came just a few days after a suspended one-year stadium ban from his time at Chelsea expired, while he has until Monday to respond to the earlier charge.
Things got worse for United on the pitch in the second half when Ander Herrera was red carded in the 69th-minute for a second bookable offence.
Mourinho later refused to attend the post-match press conference, instead sending his assistant Rui Fara.
"To be fair I don't know and I don't think it's very important," Faria said about the half-time incident.
"What is important is what the referee will write in his report. Apart from that, I can't give you more details. It happened with them."
While, he cheekily praised the referee about Herrera’s red card, adding, "About that, I just want to say, fantastic work from the referee."
"Everyone should be pleased with the performance. We dominated the game and we fought until the last second to get the result and that is the most important thing," said Fara.
"We tried and we created many chances. Their goalkeeper was the best player on the pitch.
"But things didn’t happen. I believe better days will come. We should be worried if we don’t create any chances but in this case we created plenty and I believe best results will come."
