Marlos Moreno (TEAMtalk)

Cape Town - Highly-rated young winger Marlos Moreno is on the verge of signing for Manchester City, according to Atletico Nacional coach Reinaldo Rueda.

Prior to Rueda's comments, there had been several media reports linking the 19-year-old to the Citizens, with many suggesting that transfer terms had already been agreed upon.

Moreno is one of the brightest prospects in South American football and made his full international debut for Colombia in the recent Copa America, where he played four matches and scored one goal.

"Everything with Marlos is very close," Rueda said of the negotiations. "It is a decision that has already been made by his agent and representatives."

Despite the impending move, Rueda hopes that the teenager can remain focused on his immediate goal of helping his club to the Copa Libertadores final. Atletico Nacional face Sao Paolo in the second leg of the prestigious competition on Wednesday.

"We need and I hope he does not isolate himself from our goal (of reaching the final)," Rueda added.
