Cape Town - Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke insists in-demand midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan will remain at the club next season.
The Armenian enjoyed arguably his best season with the Bundesliga outfit, scoring 23 goals and contributing 32 assists in 52 games as Dortmund finished the season in second place.
His impressive form has led to reported interest from Serie A champions Juventus and Manchester United, but Watzke feels it's in the club's best interest to keep hold of the former Shakhtar Donetsk player.
"We at the club actively discussed the option of parting ways with Henrikh Mkhitaryan ahead of time, and we decided that he should stay at BVB also next season," he told Bild.
The captain of Armenia has been capped 59 times by his country and is their current record goalscorer, with 19 to his name.
