Mkhitaryan to face Feyenoord, says Mourinho

Manchester - Henrikh Mkhitaryan will feature against Feyenoord in the Europe League on Thursday evening, according to Manchester United head coach Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho revealed that the off-season signing was not used against Arsenal this past weekend as he felt the game came with too much pressure for a player struggling to come to terms with life in the English Premier League.

The Red Devils boss, however, feels confident the Armenian play-maker will come good at Old Trafford, after a rocky start since leaving Borussia Dortmund.

"I told him today [Saturday] that he is going to be involved in the game against Feyenoord," he told reporters.

"He is trying. Obviously he is not happy but he is transforming his frustration in a good way, which is to close the mouth, work hard and try to adapt.

"I told him 'this was not the game for you' because I don't think he needs 10 or 20 minutes from the bench.

"I said 'I think you need a good game and you need to either start or, if not, to come for the second half'. He needs less pressure and better conditions for him to express his qualities."

Meanwhile Mourinho has taken another swipe at Arsene Wenger by claiming in a post match interview with ESPN Brazil that the Frenchman has failed to build a team to be champion for years.
