Cape Town - Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic believes the team's experience of winning the Premier League will help them in the final stretch of the season.
The Blues have opened up a 7-point lead over second-placed Tottenham, and with 12 games left are the firm favourites to claim the silverware.
Matic was part of Jose Mourinho's title-winning Chelsea side in 2015, and is confident the experience of lifting the trophy will aid manager Antonio Conte's charges during the run-in this season.
"We have more experience now from that season when we were champions," he told Sky Sports News HQ.
"We will try our best to win games. The experience of 2015 does help. We know to be champions you have to play every game like it's your last game and you have to give your best because you can drop any points at any time in the Premier League.
"As you can see from our last game against Swansea, we were much better and played good football but they scored from the one chance they got. It was 1-1 and it was hard until the end."
Chelsea next face a stern league test when they go head-to-head against cross-town rivals West Ham United at the London Stadium on Monday night.
Kick off is at 22:00.
