Martial talks up Rashford partnership

Cape Town - Manchester United striker Anthony Martial believes he will form a stronger understanding with fellow attacker Marcus Rashford as they continue to train together.

Rashford has been impressive since gaining promotion into United's senior side ahead of the 2015/16 Premier League campaign, netting seven goals in 15 games under coach Louis Van Gaal, including the winner in his side's 1-0 victory over Aston Villa on Saturday.

In the absence of captain Wayne Rooney due to injury, Martial and Rashford have played alongside each, drawing comparisons between their abilities when it comes to their amazing speed and technique in front of goal.

"I really don't know who is quicker but I can't tell you that he’s certainly very quick," Martial told The Sun.

"He's a player who is very mature in spite of his young age. He does not feel the pressure and I reckon he's very bright and intelligent in his style of play.

"These are the qualities that have set him apart.

"We definitely like to link up and combine well, the two of us. I think that with a few more training sessions, this can only improve," he concluded.
