Cape Town - Roberto Mancini has admitted that 'there is no chance' of Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure joining Inter Milan in the current transfer window.
Following the arrival of new manager Pep Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium, it seemed that the 33-year-old Ivorian would be shipped off to a new club - as it is well-documented that the two did not see eye to eye from their days together at Barcelona.
As a result, strong links had emerged between Mancini's Serie A side and the Ivory Coast international captain - with the Italian having managed Toure during his time in charge of the Citizens.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Mancini sang Toure's praises and revealed that reuniting with the player at Inter looks highly unlikely.
"I say that he remains one of the greatest midfielders around in the game," Mancini told Sky Sports.
"But I think there is no chance he will be joining Inter. We have no regrets, though."
Toure has been with Manchester City since 2010 and has racked up 263 appearances during a six-year spell at the club.
